Singing the "Te Deum"

The Church grants a plenary indulgence to those who pray the Te Deum (the Church's original song of praise) in public on the last day of the year as a way of thanking God for the blessings of the year.

The usual conditions apply (pray for the Pope's intentions, receive Communion that day, go to confession within a week of the act, and perfect detachment from all sin).

While we are not organizing praying this together virtually (we'll pray the Veni Sancte Spiritus together after Sunday's Vespers), we recommend you pray these on your own, which would obtain a partial indulgence since it's not a public act.
